  as i was taking my shower this morning i was musing about certain posts i had read the day before.

  the one about the tampons just tickled me to no end.

  crazy stuff people will do to enforce whatever crazy ideas they have about human sexuality.

  So, his ancestors were forced to work and live in Suriname... that was a bad thing for them. But NOT for their ofspring.... He in particular is doing much better then his far-away relatives who weren't forced out of their homes.

  I think that holding a grudge to us today, can be done off with : move on. (or go back to Africa, when you think you belong there cos that is your heritage)

  As for black people going back to Africa - HELL NO! The Europeans have RUINED the continent of Africa for most black people. Try watching the movie "Sometimes in April" on HBO if you have it. It's a real eye opener about how the British created ethnic division between two tribes in Rwanda that eventually led to an attempted genocide.

  Watchtower study - so long and so boring

  i remember going to sunday meetings...the public talks went by fast (sometimes).

  but the watchtower study to me was so boring and not interesting at all.

  it felt longer than the public talk.

  Before I became 'spiritually weak' I would prepare for the Watchtower study with intsensity! I loved looking up the scriptures and jotting them down all over the margins super geek, top notch fanatic and example to the weak.

  worst of all were the interminable talks at the district assemblies.

  The worst of the worst of the worst was the final talk at the district convention! The one where they were introducting yet another boring ass book with no new light inside. We would try to applaud the speaker off the stage (lol) between nods of course. Though sometimes the applause would wake me up and my heart would be racing

  I kept thinking that perhaps something was wrong with her and I wasn't there to support her. Six months went by, and then another six months. We were still e-mailing back and forth. Whenever I'd ask her to get together, she'd send me a mail saying sorry, but she had plans already. When I realized that a year had gone by, and she had not talked to me in person in a whole year, I finally stopped e-mailing her and never heard from her again.

  Yes, I can figure people out, but this, I could not figure out and it still saddens me.

  I went through a similar situation with a long-time friend. One I made friends with at work during my exit from the borg. She was there for me at a time when I was going through extreme difficulties; divorce, troubles on the job with an employee who was vying for my position, financial difficulties, custody issues ... the WORKS! She and I remained very close for about 5 years then all of a sudden she became unavailable. Same scenario as yours, we only communicated through e-mails - when I'd invite her to meet for drinks or dinner she wouldn?t even respond. Finally I told her via e-mail that I didn't feel that we were friends anymore and that I guess we'd had a falling out even though I didn't know why. Her response was 'oh, we're still friends, we'll get together soon'. I've barely heard from her since.

  Question: Do I really know her? I believe I do. See, this friend is a rescuer. She loves helping people figure out what to do in a crisis (enabler, co-dependent, whatever). Now that my life is on track, she doesn't have time for me because I don?t need her to help me fix things or encourage me (or so she thinks).

  I allow people into my inner circle just long enough to get to know their character (or get what I think is a good perception of their character). If I find that they are not to my liking for whatever reason I can easily back out of the relationship with little regret for the time spent and move on.

  Not everyone who comes into our lives will stay for the long haul. The only person you are guaranteed to have with you all or your life is yourself.

  How do you keep your kids busy....

  when you have work to do around the house?

  mine is driving me crazy today and i can't get anything done.

  Mine are 3 and 1....if I have alot to do around the house I make it a game and have them work with me. I got so good at it I painted a whole room with them in and out and playing around me(no fumes) and they had no paint on them. Plus there was no marks on the walls they touched nothing! Try to make chores a game! Kids love to help out it make take longer but you can take care of them at the same time.

  I agree with Brooke. Get them involved in some way. It will make you slow down the pace as you interact with one another which should relieve some of your stress too.

  I don't remember everything me and my kids talk about, but they are always bringing up some conversation from the past with fondness (yesterday: Julian 9 - "ma, remember when you asked me if I wanted blue hair" ). Being that I can only remember a few instances of talking with my mom while growing up I see even more how much it really matters that I spend quality time with my kids.

  It is clearly scripturally indicated that the male sex organ is designed for insertion into the female's receiving sex organ, ONLY!

  I knew a young sister who married a paraplegic and he was told he could stimulate her manually since he couldn't er uh (use your own phrase here). So I guess it's different STROKES for different folks

  So many great outrageous manmade rules here. I am still amazed by how controlled we were. That's why, I end so many of my posts with SWEET FREEDOM ... F**K BIG BROTHER!!!

  must have missed that study article. Is this for real? No yard sales for fear of demon possession?

  Yeah findingme ... It wasn't the 'yard sales' per se' it was anything by which one might invite demons into ones homes ... muwhaahaahahahahah. You know those super witnesses are the most paranoid bunch. I recall one pio. sister saysing she threw out everything in her new apartment when she cleaned it out ... even leftover screws! She probably would've thrown out the commode too if she could replace it herself (tee hee hee)
